Sanghyun Park Claims 13th KPGA Victory, Climbs from 741st to 463rd in World Rankings

Veteran golfer Sanghyun Park has climbed to 463rd in the world rankings.

According to the official men's golf world rankings announced on September 1 (local time), Park earned 0.2977 points, jumping 278 spots from 741st last week. He earned these points by winning the Dong-A Membership Group Open on the Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) Tour, held the previous day at Gangnam 300 Country Club in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province (par 70, 6,863 yards), with a total prize fund of 700 million won. This victory marks his first win of the season and the 13th of his career, coming 1 year and 10 months after his triumph at the 2023 Genesis Championship.

There were no changes in the rankings at the top, as there was no PGA Tour event held. Scottie Scheffler (United States), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Xander Schauffele, Russell Henley, and Justin Thomas (all United States) maintained their positions in the top five. Among Korean players, Im Sungjae is ranked 30th, An Byeonghun is 64th, Kim Siwoo is 66th, and Kim Joo-hyung holds the 82nd spot.
