How Goyang Special City Can Become a City for Businesses
Listening to Voices from the Field
Kim Unnam, Chairman of the Goyang Special City Council in Gyeonggi Province, has published a book titled "The Work of Kim Unnam," which captures vivid stories from his meetings with local businesses during his legislative activities. To commemorate the publication, a book concert will be held on September 6 at 3 p.m. on the third floor of KINTEX Exhibition Center 2, under the theme "How Goyang Special City Can Become a City for Businesses: What Companies Are Operating in Goyang?"
This book features the business storytelling of 40 companies active across Goyang, all compiled into a single volume. By sharing stories of corporate challenges and achievements, as well as cooperation with the local community, the book aims to provide readers with new ideas for business creation and serve as a guide for young people preparing for entrepreneurship and their futures.
In his greeting, Chairman Kim Unnam stated, "I hope that companies can form groups and find fulfillment in their achievements. For young people about to start their own businesses, this will serve as the experiences of senior entrepreneurs. I hope that, through the stories of those who have walked ahead, they can discover what they do best and choose a 'purposeful life.'"
He added, "The companies introduced here are not stars that have fallen from the sky, but each possesses the ability to shine. If that ability is aided by the heavens, that itself would be a blessing."
At the upcoming publication celebration book concert, author Kim Unnam will personally share behind-the-scenes stories from the writing process and engage in discussions with participating business leaders to share voices from the field with citizens. The future direction of a 'business-friendly Goyang Special City' will also be discussed together.
The Goyang Special City Council plans to use this publication and commemorative event as an opportunity to further solidify the path toward sustainable regional development, built together by businesses, the council, and citizens.
