The joint inspection was carried out on August 29 at the Imun I-Park Xi site and the Gangbyeon Station Central I-Park site. The inspection at the Imun I-Park Xi site was attended by Jung Kyunggu, CEO of HDC Hyundai Development Company, the Secretary General of the labor union, and CEOs of partner companies.
The joint inspection team at Imun I-Park Xi focused on dismantling temporary earth-retaining structures in each building, installing formwork, rebar, and gang forms, as well as pouring concrete for underground and above-ground floors. They also met with on-site employees to listen to their concerns and delivered messages of encouragement and support.
CEO Jung Kyunggu stated, "We will continue to raise safety awareness through regular safety inspections and ongoing joint inspections with the labor union," adding, "Based on a culture that prioritizes safety and quality, we will strive to create a worker-centered safe work environment and continuously work to identify and prevent potential risks in advance."
Jo Taeje, Chief Safety Officer (CSO) of HDC Hyundai Development Company, Seo Jangseok, Chairman of the labor union, and CEOs of partner companies visited the Gangbyeon Station Central I-Park site. The joint inspection team reviewed key work progress and issues, the status of safety and health management, and inspected high-risk tasks and items that received the highest risk ratings in assessments. Before the inspection, CSO Jo met with workers immediately after a morning safety and health campaign, urging them to maintain safety on-site and expressing appreciation for their efforts.
CSO Jo Taeje emphasized, "Management and the labor union will join forces to find practical ways to improve on-site safety," and added, "Safety is something we build together, and we will establish a strengthened safety environment through active institutional support and system improvements."
HDC Hyundai Development Company is taking the lead in creating a safe work environment by utilizing AI and DX-based technologies. At construction sites, the company operates an integrated CCTV control center to eliminate blind spots in safety management, and uses drones to monitor workers' safety in real time, thereby establishing an advanced safety management system. In the second half of the year, in addition to regular executive safety inspections, the company plans to further strengthen on-site safety management by introducing safety management and training programs using AI, DX, and VR technologies.
