Final Official Land Prices to Be Announced on October 30
Damyang County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Jeong Cheolwon) announced on the 1st that it has completed the assessment of individual official land prices for 1,007 parcels within the county as of July 1, and will be accepting public viewing and feedback from landowners and related parties until the 22nd.
This round of individual official land price assessments covers parcels that underwent changes such as division, merger, or land category modification between January and June of this year. The assessed land prices can be checked at the Civil Affairs Division of the county office, town and township offices, the Damyang County website, or the 'Real Estate Price Information System.' If there are any objections to the assessed prices, opinions can be submitted by visiting the Civil Affairs Division or town and township offices, or by mail.
Submitted opinions will be re-examined for price balance with nearby standard parcels and undergo a thorough review by an appraiser. The results will be individually notified to each applicant by October 22, following deliberation by the Damyang County Real Estate Price Disclosure Committee. After the public viewing and feedback process, the final land prices will be confirmed and officially announced on October 30.
An official from the county stated, "The individual official land prices serve as basic data for calculating national and local taxes, as well as various charges, and therefore have a direct impact on residents' lives," urging, "Please make sure to check during the viewing period."
