Renault Korea announced on September 1 that its domestic sales in August reached 3,868 units, marking a 186% increase compared to the same month last year.
The strong performance in August was led by the mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) Grand Koleos, which sold 2,903 units. Of the Grand Koleos vehicles sold in August, 2,544 units-representing 88% of total sales-were hybrid models equipped with a parallel dual-motor drive system.
Since customer deliveries began in September last year, the Grand Koleos has achieved cumulative sales of 51,076 units over approximately one year through August 2025. The Grand Koleos has received positive feedback for offering spacious interiors, outstanding body safety, and state-of-the-art convenience and driving safety features as standard.
In addition, in the domestic market in August, the coupe-style SUV Arkana sold 451 units, the long-time best-selling SUV QM6 sold 384 units, the mid-size sedan SM6 sold 58 units, and the commercial vehicle Master sold 34 units. The all-electric Scenic E-Tech 100% Electric, which is being imported and sold in Korea with a target of 999 units for the year, delivered 38 units last month according to shipping schedules.
Including exports (2,589 units), Renault Korea's total global sales in August amounted to 6,457 units. August exports comprised 1,975 units of the Arkana and 614 units of the Grand Koleos (exported under the name New Renault Koleos), totaling 2,589 units shipped.
