Gijang County in Busan to Recruit Students for 3rd Semester Citizen College and Language Institute

77 Customized Lifelong Learning Courses for Gijang Residents
Registration Open September 8-9

Gijang County (Governor Jung Jongbok) will be recruiting students for the "2025 3rd Semester Gijang County Citizen College and Gijang County Citizen Language Institute," the county's lifelong learning platform, for two days from September 8 to September 9.


The "Gijang County Citizen College" offers a total of 36 courses, divided into general, humanities, and 5060 middle-aged programs.


A variety of hobby, liberal arts, humanities, and certification courses are available, including "Urban Sketching in Gijang," "ChatGPT AI Instructor Training Course," and "European City Tour with Classical Masterpieces."


In particular, customized courses for the 5060 middle-aged group will be offered, such as "YouTube Video Creator" and the "Poetry Recitation Instructor Certification Course (Certification Track)."


The "Gijang County Citizen Language Institute" consists of 41 programs, including language courses at various levels in English, Japanese, and Chinese, as well as mobile video (phone) classes. Special courses such as "OPIc (IM1) Achievement Class," "Easy and Fun Travel English Writing," and "Effortless Pattern English Diary Writing" are also prepared to enhance learning interest.


The 3rd semester lifelong learning program will run for a total of 10 weeks, from September 22 to December 6. Eligible applicants are Gijang County residents or employees working in Gijang County who are 20 years or older. For the 5060 middle-aged program, only those born before December 31, 1974 may apply.


Course registration is available on the Gijang County Lifelong Learning website during the two-day period from September 8 to 9. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Gijang County Citizen College or the Gijang County Citizen Language Institute.


Governor Jung Jongbok stated, "We have prepared a variety of courses that allow residents to enjoy the joy of learning and improve their quality of life," and added, "We hope for your great interest and participation."
