Global Viewers Tune In as International Media Praise the Show
"K-Popd," an Apple TV Plus original global music competition series co-produced by CJ ENM and the U.S.-based Eureka Productions, is attracting worldwide attention.
All episodes of K-Popd were released on August 29 through the "Apple TV Plus Brand Hall" on Tving, where it immediately ranked as the number one real-time trending content.
According to FlixPatrol, a global streaming ranking site, K-Popd reached fourth place in the Apple TV Plus Global Top TV Shows category just two days after its release, and ranked fifth in the real-time trending chart in the United States.
It also entered the top three in major Asian markets such as Japan, Vietnam, and Malaysia, and secured a spot in the top ten in all 99 countries, including the United Kingdom, Argentina, and Saudi Arabia, demonstrating its significant popularity.
International media outlets have also focused on K-Popd. Billboard highlighted the global influence of K-pop and its creative collaborations, stating, "World-renowned stars come together to deliver authentic and awe-inspiring musical synergy."
The Verge, an IT-focused media outlet, emphasized the freshness of the collaborations, saying, "K-pop and pop stars deliver innovative crossovers on stage that transcend genres and cultures." KCrush, a K-pop specialist outlet, praised the show's musical diversity, describing it as "a fresh and powerful live performance festival that global fans can enjoy together."
Currently, Tving Premium plan subscribers can watch all episodes through the "Apple TV Plus Brand Hall." Until 10 a.m. on September 5, all users are offered free access to the first episode.
