Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, the Korea ESG Awards recognize companies, institutions, and organizations that have achieved outstanding management performance in relevant sectors. The evaluation criteria for the social sector, in which GKL was awarded, include seven categories: objectives, labor, diversity and gender equality, mutual growth, local community, information protection, and violations of social laws and regulations. GKL received high marks across all categories.

In particular, GKL was highly rated for its efforts to create jobs through initiatives such as the Tourism Job Festa and the introduction of social service jobs for seniors, as well as for establishing a fair and mutually beneficial business environment and promoting projects to revitalize local tourism.

Yoon Doohyun, CEO of GKL, said, "We will continue to faithfully fulfill our social role as a public enterprise by supporting the mutual growth of local communities and small and medium-sized enterprises through systematic ESG management activities."
