The "Chorokae Project Team," which operates a crop cultivation business on approximately 1,200 pyeong of land near Kumho-eup, plans to significantly improve its work environment by replacing the plastic coverings of its aging greenhouses and installing shade screens to prepare for high summer temperatures.
The "Clean Laundry Project Team," operating on about 50 pyeong near Hwaryong-dong, will enhance its insufficient drying facilities and install air conditioning to prevent heat-related illnesses during the summer.
In addition, the self-sufficiency enterprise "Good Interior" will replace its old vehicle, while "Heemangnareumi" will purchase and operate an additional refrigerated truck to strengthen their business competitiveness.
Hong Soonchan, Director of the Yeongcheon Community Self-Sufficiency Center, stated, "We expect that these facility improvements for our project teams will not only enhance the working environment for participating residents, but also make a significant contribution to revitalizing the community's self-sufficiency work projects as a whole."
Choi Kimoon, Mayor of Yeongcheon, said, "We will continue to provide unwavering support for the development of self-sufficiency work projects," adding, "We will do our utmost to ensure the successful operation of these projects and contribute to community development through ongoing environmental improvements."
