Appointment of 25 New Civil Servants
Across Administration, Taxation, Engineering, Forestry, Health, and Facilities
On September 1, Muju County in North Jeolla Province appointed 25 new entry-level civil servants.
According to the county, the newly appointed civil servants are assigned to six different job categories: 14 in administration, 1 in taxation, 1 in engineering, 1 in forestry, 2 in health, and 5 in facilities, totaling 25 people. They will be deployed to the Muju County Office headquarters, affiliated institutions, and administrative welfare centers in towns and townships, where they will carry out public administration work aimed at regional development and improving the welfare of local residents.
The county expects that this round of appointments will fill vacancies caused by leaves of absence and other reasons, enabling it to provide more stable and prompt administrative services to residents.
Meanwhile, at the appointment ceremony held at the Muju County Citizens' House on the same day, the new civil servants pledged to prioritize the public interest, maintain integrity, and communicate transparently as public officials serving the residents.
Hwang Inhong, the county governor, stated, "I hope you will practice proactive administration by upholding the ethical obligations of civil servants, such as kindness, fairness, confidentiality, integrity, and maintaining dignity, while listening attentively to the voices of the residents. I support your energetic new beginning and will do my best to ensure your public service career is always something to be proud of and rewarding."
By the end of this month, Muju County's new civil servants will participate in a competency-building training program called 'Understanding Our County,' where they will learn the basics required of public officials and share key county government work, helping them adapt quickly to their roles and deliver administrative services that satisfy residents.
