PwC Consulting Launches "AI Trust Center"
Comprehensive Services for Rapid Compliance
Supporting Companies with AI Governance and Certification
PwC Consulting has established a specialized organization to respond to the "Artificial Intelligence (AI) Basic Act (Basic Act on the Promotion and Trust-Based Development of Artificial Intelligence)," which will take effect early next year. The team is composed of AI risk management experts from the public, financial, telecommunications, and technology sectors, and plans to provide comprehensive services that enable companies to establish a rapid regulatory response system within three months.
On September 1, PwC Consulting announced the launch of the "AI Trust Center" for this purpose. The center aims to help companies quickly establish a compliance system for the AI Basic Act when adopting or developing AI, and will offer a range of AI services, including data and information technology (IT) governance, which are fundamental to AI competitiveness.
The center consists of a group of experts in AI development, data, compliance, IT, and security. These professionals build policies and processes that ensure compliance with the AI Basic Act, taking into account industry-specific regulations and the level of AI technology adoption. They also support companies in obtaining certification for the AI Management System Standard (ISO/IEC 42001), which certifies the level of AI governance in an organization.
With the launch of the center, PwC Consulting plans to strengthen its group of AI security experts and provide regulatory response system services within three months, tailored to the regulatory response level of each company. In addition, the center offers AI data governance services to build organizational and system structures, including data policies that convert information into formats understandable by AI, as well as IT governance services for the rapid and reliable development of AI.
Going forward, the center plans to expand partnerships with AI tech companies, solution providers, and law firms, and to collaborate with domestic and external organizations to hold forums and informational sessions. More details are available on the PwC Consulting website.
Jin-Yoo Kim, a partner at PwC Consulting, stated, "Many companies have yet to establish a response system due to delays in specific guidelines such as enforcement decrees. The center will provide a system that enables companies to accelerate AI innovation while responding to regulations in a stable manner."
