Final Progress Report Meeting Held for Successful Hosting of the Event
Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 1 that it held a final progress report meeting on August 29 to check the preparations for the successful hosting of the 19th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Festival and the 36th Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival, both of which will be held in Paju.

The meeting was attended by over 40 people, including Kim Kyungil, mayor of Paju, Choi Byunggap, deputy mayor of Paju and head of the event planning team, as well as officials from the Paju Sports Council and Paju Disabled Sports Council. They shared updates on the preparation process, game operations, safety measures, and promotional activities for the event.
Key discussion topics included plans for the opening and closing ceremonies and related events, a comprehensive promotional strategy, transportation and parking measures, volunteer training, and medical and accommodation facilities-covering all aspects related to hosting the event. In particular, the participants conducted a detailed review of safety management measures and pledged thorough preparation so that all participants and spectators can enjoy the event with peace of mind.
Mayor Kim Kyungil stated, "Following the successful hosting of two Gyeonggi-do sports events in Paju last year, this was an important opportunity to review preparations for the grand finale of the Gyeonggi-do Comprehensive Sports Festival, which will be a festival for both disabled and non-disabled athletes. In the remaining period, we will do our utmost to create a healthy sports festival that all Gyeonggi-do residents can enjoy together, through meticulous inspections and seamless cooperation."
This event, designed as a festival for communication and unity among Gyeonggi-do's 14.16 million residents, will feature the 19th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Festival 2025 Paju from September 12 to 13, and the 36th Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival 2025 Paju from September 26 to 28.
