This event was organized to promote the launch of Lotte Wellfood's season-limited sweet potato snacks made with Gochang sweet potatoes. The products capture the sweetness of Gochang honey sweet potatoes in well-known snack brands such as Custard, Margaret, Binch, and Bbangbbare.
In particular, the product packaging features the phrase "Go-Cham(chang) Honey Sweet Potato Flavor" along with images of UNESCO-listed local heritages such as the Gochang Dolmen, tidal flats, and pansori, further enhancing regional promotion.
County Governor Shim Deokseop stated, "This event is more than just a donation drive; it is a meaningful occasion where people can experience both local agricultural products and hometown pride. Through the launch of new products using sweet potatoes, we aim to promote local agriculture and express our gratitude to residents participating in the Hometown Love Donation Program."
Meanwhile, the county plans to continue implementing various events and programs linked to the Hometown Love Donation Program, aiming to spread a culture of sharing among local residents and donors while simultaneously revitalizing the local economy.
