Fresh Vegetables and Eggs Now Available at Your Local Convenience Store
Six New "Freshly New" Products from Lotte Mart Launched
On September 1, Seven Eleven announced that it will hold a fresh food discount event to help ease the burden of grocery prices during this period of high inflation.
Recently, as more consumers have used livelihood recovery coupons to purchase daily necessities at convenience stores, sales in the fresh food category have increased. In fact, last month, Seven Eleven's sales of fresh food products such as fruits, vegetables, and eggs rose by 30% compared to July.
Starting from September 1, two types of domestic tofu (210g each, for stew and for pan-frying) will be sold at 2,000 won, which is half the regular price. The store will also run a buy-one-get-one-free event for "Ajigan Simkongnamul" (180g) and "Gun Oksusu" (1 piece). From September 18, "Goodmin Asak Sukjunamul" (300g) will be available as a buy-one-get-one-free deal, and a special set of "Sinsundaeran" eggs (10 pieces) and two packs of premium domestic soybean tofu will be offered at a 10% discount.
Six products from Lotte Mart’s "Freshly New" line will also be introduced as promotional items starting September 18. This initiative is designed to allow customers to conveniently purchase high-quality fresh foods from the supermarket at their local Seven Eleven store.
Seven Eleven will offer "Freshly New" perilla leaves (10 pieces) and Cheongyang chili peppers (60g) at 1,590 won and 1,690 won, respectively, which is a 30% discount. Additionally, green chili peppers (60g), potatoes (500g, 3-4 pieces), peeled garlic (60g), and "Hankki Bapsang" onions (400g) will be sold at a 20% discount.
Jung Seungyeon, the MD in charge of convenience foods at Seven Eleven, said, "With vegetable prices soaring and grocery costs rising, we have prepared this event to help reduce the burden on our customers, even if just a little." She added, "Seven Eleven will continue to hold practical events as a lifestyle platform to help ease the burden of grocery shopping and provide products at reasonable prices, thereby contributing to price stability in daily life."
