Currently, Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation manages 307 metropolitan bus routes (2,928 vehicles) and 174 city bus routes (2,520 vehicles), operating a stable system based on standard transportation cost settlement, service evaluation, and route bidding.

The corporation plans to apply its operational experience and expertise to the semi-public operation system for village buses, transparently managing key cost items such as labor costs, maintenance expenses, insurance premiums, and vehicle depreciation. It will also systematically establish and operate monthly, quarterly, and annual settlement systems.

The semi-public operation system in Yangju City will cover a total of 10 routes and 15 vehicles. The eligible routes are: ▲Route 3-1 (Dongducheon~Garaebi) ▲Route 3-7 (Eunhyeon-myeon Administrative Welfare Center~Yangju Station) ▲Route 3-7 'Temporary Operation' (Biryong Cathedral~Yangju Station) ▲Route 3-8 (Deokjeong Station~Yangju Station) ▲Route 14 (Baekseok Nonghyup~Dongducheon KT) ▲Route 28 (Hwangbang 1-ri Village Hall~Deokgye Station) ▲Route 73-3 (Kyungdong University~Deoklim Apartment) ▲Route 75 (Naehwoeam~Bongyang 1-tong) ▲Route 76 (Yangju Transportation Headquarters~Hoeam-ri) ▲Route 77-1 (Yangju Transportation Headquarters~Yangju Station). The number of routes will be gradually expanded through a route bidding process.

The semi-public operation system for village buses aims to guarantee citizens' basic right to mobility and to strengthen the public nature and efficiency of routes. Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation will encourage voluntary service improvements by transportation operators through route-specific service evaluations, and will operate a performance-linked system that provides differential performance incentives based on evaluation grades, thereby working to enhance the quality of transportation services and ensure the stable establishment of the system.

Min Kyungseon, President of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, stated, "This project is an important initiative to improve the level of transportation services across all areas, including metropolitan, city, village, and Ddok buses, based on our corporation's settlement work experience and expertise. We will continue to do our best to guarantee the right to mobility and improve resident satisfaction by providing safe and convenient transportation services."

This Yangju City project marks the expansion of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation's operations from metropolitan and city buses to village buses, with plans to gradually extend the system to all cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province. Through this, the corporation will continue to support residents so they can use safer and more convenient public transportation services in a stable manner.
