In celebration of September as Reading Month, Gyeonggi Province will host a total of 1,228 vibrant reading and cultural events at public libraries in 31 cities and counties throughout the province. The events will include lectures, book talks, performances, hands-on activities, exhibitions, and discussions.
One of the main events is the "Mini Book Festival," which will be held sequentially at three public libraries in Yangju City: Okjeong Lake Library on September 14, Yangju Hope Library on September 20, and Dream Tree Library on September 21.
Each library will invite this year's featured authors-Lee Hyowon ("Read the Constitution at Least Once in Your Life"), Woo Shinyoung ("Always Kind Porridge Shop"), and Han Rakyung ("Insect Hotel")-to give lectures. In addition, a variety of programs such as a drawing magic show, bookstore concert, and classical and jazz performances will be offered.
