Participation in Sydney Security Exhibition
Unveiling of Latest AI Chipset "Wisenet9"
Introduction of Cloud-Based "SightMind"
Hanwha Vision is targeting the Oceania security market with its artificial intelligence (AI) chipset-based video surveillance solutions.
On August 31, Hanwha Vision announced that it had unveiled its latest AI video solutions at the Security Exhibition & Conference, the largest security exhibition in Oceania, which opened in Sydney, Australia on the 27th (local time).
The product that attracted the most attention at the exhibition was the latest AI system-on-chip (SoC), "Wisenet9." This chipset is equipped with two neural processing units (NPUs) that divide responsibilities for image quality enhancement and video analysis, delivering performance that is three times higher than the previous generation. Cameras using this chipset provide clear footage even in environments with high contrast between light and dark areas.
Hanwha Vision drew visitors' interest by setting up a darkroom to demonstrate its low-light and backlight compensation features. The company also showcased AI solutions specialized for various industries such as transportation, manufacturing, and logistics. In addition, through "SightMind," a platform that allows video data to be managed and analyzed in the cloud, Hanwha Vision presented ways to enhance operational efficiency for stores.
A Hanwha Vision representative stated, "Video surveillance is evolving beyond simple monitoring to become a decision-making tool that improves operational efficiency. We plan to expand our presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets by leveraging AI and cloud-based solutions."
