A is suspected of visiting Jungkook's residence in Yongsan District at around 11:20 p.m. on June 11, the day Jungkook was discharged from the military, and repeatedly pressing the front door passcode.

The police, who responded to a report, arrested A at the scene. It has been confirmed that A is not a resident of Korea and stated that she came to Korea to see Jungkook after his discharge.

Jungkook, who enlisted in the Army together with Jimin of the same group in December 2023, served for one year and six months in the Artillery Brigade of the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province, before being honorably discharged.

Previously, Jin, another BTS member, was unexpectedly kissed on the cheek by a Japanese woman in her 50s during a "hug event" with fans held immediately after his discharge in June last year. After receiving a report from a netizen, the police referred the Japanese woman to the prosecution in May on charges of indecent assault in a public place under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.

During his military service, Jungkook became the target of a hacking group led by a Chinese national, resulting in the theft of HYBE shares worth 8.4 billion won. However, actual losses were prevented due to payment suspension measures. The ringleader, Jeon Mo, a 35-year-old who was apprehended in Thailand and extradited to Korea, was referred to the prosecution on August 29.
