On August 30, Cho Kuk posted an article on his Facebook page, a social networking service, without any additional comment. The article was titled "The Higher the Economic Status of Young People Living in Seoul, the Greater the Likelihood They Are Far-Right."

Earlier, in an interview with the media on August 22, Cho Kuk addressed the high level of opposition among the 2030 generation to his pardon and reinstatement. He stated, "If requested, I am willing to apologize again," but also said, "Men in their 20s and 30s display tendencies similar to those in their 70s, showing what is referred to as far-right tendencies."

In response, some in conservative circles criticized Cho Kuk, questioning whether the criticism from people in their 20s and 30s regarding issues such as his child's college admissions scandal was due to young men in the 2030 generation becoming far-right.

Park Sunghoon, chief spokesperson for the People Power Party, also commented on Cho Kuk's social media post that day, saying, "If 'economically upper-class young people living in Seoul' are considered far-right, does that mean his own daughter, Cho Min, is also far-right?" He added, "He is stigmatizing men in their 20s and 30s as far-right simply because they are critical of him, and is using generational and gender conflicts as political assets."
