Man Snatches Hat Meant for Young Fan from Tennis Star... Revealed as CEO, Identity Exposed

Majchrzak's Gifted Hat Snatched from Boy
The Man Revealed as CEO of Polish Company

At the US Open, an adult man was caught on broadcast cameras snatching a hat from a young fan that Polish tennis star Kamil Majchrzak (29) had intended to give to the child.

According to the New York Post on August 29 (local time), after achieving a decisive victory over Russia's Karen Khachanov in the second round of the men's singles at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York, Majchrzak spent time greeting fans and signing autographs. During this time, Majchrzak took off his hat and tried to hand it to a young boy in the stands. However, a man standing next to the boy grabbed the hat out of the child's hand and put it in his wife's bag. The upset boy shouted, "What are you doing?" but the man ignored him.

To make matters worse, the man handed his own water bottle to Majchrzak and received an autograph, all while ignoring the devastated child. This scene was captured in its entirety by the broadcast cameras and aired live. As a result, fans unleashed a torrent of criticism toward the man who took the hat.

Majchrzak Searches for Boy Through Social Media

Unaware of what had happened, Majchrzak continued signing autographs and only learned about the incident the following day. On his Instagram, he wrote, "I didn't realize my hat didn't reach the boy," and added, "Please help me find this boy. If the boy or his parents see this post, please send me a direct message (DM)." He also uploaded a photo capturing the disappointed look on the boy's face at the moment the hat was taken.

Within just an hour of posting, Majchrzak was able to contact the boy and expressed that he was "moved by the power of the internet." Since then, on social media, criticism has continued to pour in against this "villain" who turned what should have been a heartwarming moment into an ugly scene. Netizens called the man "an idiot," "a terrible person," and "a fool," with some commenting, "Stealing from a child is truly disgusting."

Meanwhile, online "detectives" began tracking down the identity of the man who took the hat. He was revealed to be the CEO of a paving stone company in Poland. Some of the personal information of both the man and his family was also shared online. Once it became known that the man was a CEO, the criticism intensified. Netizens reacted by saying, "How shameless to run a big company and steal from a child," and "He should apologize immediately and return the hat to the boy."
