Approximately 30 village residents attended the briefing session, where a city official explained the background, procedures, and future schedule for the construction of the comprehensive funeral facility. This was followed by an active exchange of opinions among the attendees.

The Gwangseok-ri village association emphasized, "Without a comprehensive funeral facility, citizens are forced to use facilities in other regions, which is inconvenient. As demand is increasing due to the aging population, we hope the facility will be built swiftly to alleviate the economic and time-related inconveniences faced by citizens."

Lee Hanwoo, the village head, added, "The construction of a comprehensive funeral facility is not just an expansion of infrastructure, but an essential foundation project to enhance citizen welfare and public interest. It must be pursued with consensus and cooperation from the entire local community."

Yangju City is operating visiting residents' briefing sessions and on-site tours of the project site to collect residents' opinions. A city official stated, "Any citizen who wishes can visit the site and receive an explanation of the project on location. We hope many citizens will participate."

Meanwhile, Yangju City is pursuing the construction of a comprehensive funeral facility in the Bangseong 1-ri area of Baekseok-eup to address the supply-demand imbalance of funeral facilities and improve the welfare of its citizens.
