“Projects That Will Shape Dobong's Future, Urgent Need for Pan-Government Support”
On the afternoon of August 29, Eonseok Oh, Mayor of Dobong District in Seoul, met with Jaeseop Kim, the local Member of the National Assembly, in the mayor's office at Dobong District Office to focus on discussing local issues. This meeting marks the second time this month, following their previous meeting on August 25, and is seen as an effort to accelerate the resolution of local issues.

During the meeting, Mayor Oh presented details on 13 projects to be proposed to five central government ministries, including the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of National Defense, and requested close cooperation at the pan-government level. The 13 projects include: promoting the removal of national park designation to create a Hanok Village on the former chemical unit site, requesting a river occupation permit for the creation of a waterfront vitality hub along Jungnangcheon Stream, expediting the start of the Banghak Station improvement project, including the extension of SRT to northern metropolitan areas, promoting the undergrounding of the Gyeongwon Line, improving convenience facilities in Dobongsan National Park, and adjusting the designated area of the Choaansan burial mound group, among others.
Mayor Eonseok Oh emphasized, "These 13 projects will determine the future of Dobong," and added, "I earnestly request active support at the pan-government level to ensure smooth progress of these projects."
Additionally, regarding Assemblyman Jaeseop Kim's sponsorship of the partial amendment to the Elementary and Secondary Education Act on August 27, Mayor Oh expressed deep gratitude, saying, "I sincerely thank you for promptly reflecting the matters I requested on August 25." On August 25, Mayor Oh had explained to Assemblyman Kim the necessity of integrating the operation of Nu Won Middle and High Schools and requested a legislative amendment at the National Assembly level.
