According to Yonhap News on August 29, at around 7:30 p.m. on August 23, a guest, identified as A, witnessed the inside of the first-floor men's sauna being visible from outside through a window while taking a walk.

The spot where A was standing was a walking path around the resort, frequently used by guests. At the time, the sauna was in operation, and it is reported that the people inside were clearly visible from outside.

Guest A said, "I was taking a walk along the trail around the resort in the evening, and I was startled to see the inside of the sauna through a first-floor window. It seemed that the people inside were unaware that they could be seen from outside." A added, "I wanted to inform the resort about this issue during checkout, but I was unable to do so due to my schedule."

The resort, which became aware of the issue belatedly, explained, "It appears that someone, presumed to be a sauna guest, raised the window blinds, which caused the incident." Although privacy film had been installed on the glass to protect guests, it was not sufficient to block the view at night. The resort said that they had been lowering the blinds to block visibility, but someone raised them, leading to the exposure.

A resort official stated, "We are aware of the external exposure and are reviewing ways to address it," adding, "We are considering fixing the blinds so they cannot be adjusted or reapplying the privacy film."

Previously, at a four-star hotel in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, a similar controversy arose when the interior of the sauna was exposed due to an issue with the performance of the protective film on the windows. The hotel stated on August 12, "After confirming the issue, we immediately suspended sauna operations and replaced the film," and issued an apology. The hotel added, "To prevent recurrence, we plan to conduct regular facility inspections. We will also re-inspect facilities and strengthen security awareness training for staff at other hotels. We apologize to our customers."
