Busan City Opens "Forum for Communication" with Leading Local Company Daesun Joojo... A Model of Mutual Growth for Citizens and Public Officials

Busan City Hall Hosts Event to Promote Local Company Name Contest
A Model Case of Mutual Growth with Daesun Joojo
Encouraging Citizen Participation and Fostering a Culture of Supporting Regional Products

Busan City has set an exemplary case of mutual cooperation by providing the city hall lobby as a promotional venue for Daesun Joojo, the city's first local company.

This goes beyond simply offering a space; it is significant in that it has given a local company the opportunity to communicate directly with citizens and public officials, raising awareness of the value of regional products.

At 5 p.m. on August 28, the first floor of Busan City Hall was energized by a special promotional event hosted by Daesun Joojo. The event was organized to announce a contest to find a new name for the "local company" designation, which Busan City has used for the past 20 years, and to promote a culture of supporting regional products.

Busan Mayor Park Hyeongjun visited the event with city officials, encouraging Daesun Joojo executives and employees and reaffirming his commitment to mutual growth with local businesses.

Daesun Joojo, led by CEO Choi Hongseong and its executives, also engaged directly with citizens, encouraging participation in the contest and promoting the value of local companies.

In particular, holding the event in the symbolic space of city hall is expected to naturally foster interest in and support for regional products among public officials. There is growing anticipation that the active support from the local government will change public perception, which will in turn lead to increased consumption of local products and revitalize the stagnant Busan economy.

Daesun Joojo has recently drawn attention for its generous donations in support of mutual growth with the local community. The company demonstrated its unwavering affection for Busan by donating 500 million won to support the development of local festivals. As the oldest local company in Busan, Daesun Joojo continues its multifaceted efforts to grow alongside the community and give back to the citizens for their ongoing support.

Choi Hongseong, CEO of Daesun Joojo, stated, "Together with Busan City, we were able to successfully hold a meaningful event that brought us closer to citizens and helped us find a new name for local companies. We will continue to pursue various mutual growth activities with the community and contribute to the development of Busan's economy."
