Cheongsong County Signs MOU with Ulleung Cruise

On August 27, Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Ulleung Cruise at the County Office’s Future Leap Room to promote cooperation and mutual growth. The two parties discussed various support measures to encourage county residents to travel to Ulleungdo and Dokdo.

This agreement was established to make it easier for Cheongsong residents to visit Ulleungdo and Dokdo. The goal is to provide a wide range of benefits to residents by utilizing Ulleung Cruise’s large passenger ships and accommodation facilities.

Under the agreement, Ulleung Cruise will offer Cheongsong residents up to a 20% discount on Ulleung Cruise and Dokdo Cruise passenger fares, and will also provide services to enhance convenience during visits to Ulleungdo and Dokdo.

In addition, the two parties plan to jointly develop specialized tourism products connecting Ulleungdo and to introduce a variety of special offers for county residents.

Cheongsong County will actively support the promotion of Ulleung Cruise and plans to strengthen cooperation in staff training and education programs at the county office. Through these efforts, both organizations aim to establish a solid foundation for practical collaboration.

County Governor Yoon Kyunghee stated, “This agreement marks an important milestone in solidifying the cooperative relationship between Cheongsong County and Ulleung Cruise. We will do our utmost to help residents create unforgettable memories through trips to Ulleungdo and Dokdo, while also invigorating the local economy.”
