Yongin City to Raise Local Currency Incentive to 10% Starting in September

Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will increase the incentive rate for using local currency from the current 7% to 10% starting September 1.

With this increase, users who charge the maximum limit of 500,000 won to their local currency card will receive an incentive of 50,000 won.

Lee Sangil, Mayor of Yongin, stated, "The increased incentive is expected to have a positive impact on citizens' consumption and the revitalization of the local economy," adding, "We will continue to implement local currency policies that support our citizens."
