On August 28, Kim Sunil (55), Head of the Public Relations Team at the Planning and Budget Office, was elected as the second Chairman of the Seongju County Public Officials Labor Union.
This union chairman election was conducted as a yes-or-no vote since Kim Sunil was the sole candidate. Out of 645 eligible voters, 564 participated, resulting in a turnout of 87%, and 89% of the voters cast a vote in favor.
The term of office is three years, from October 2025 to September 2028.
The elected representative pledged to establish an advanced personnel culture, improve employee welfare, strengthen staff protection and rights, and enhance communication with higher-level labor unions.
He stated, "I will do my utmost to enhance the rights and welfare of all employees, which is the core duty of the union, and furthermore, I will strive to create a 'public service community filled with pride.'"
