Supporting Operations at Suhyup Member Cooperatives Nationwide
Enhancing the Effectiveness of Fisheries Policy Fund Management
Sh Suhyup Bank announced on August 29 that it will operate a "Policy Fund Support Volunteer Group" to enhance the effectiveness of fisheries policy fund management and strengthen support for Suhyup member cooperatives.
The Policy Fund Support Volunteer Group visits Suhyup member cooperatives nationwide every month to provide practical on-site support activities needed by the cooperatives, including analyzing the status of fisheries policy fund operations, listening to suggestions related to fisheries policy funds, and conducting capacity-building training for staff responsible for fisheries policy fund work.
Starting with seven Suhyup member cooperatives in the Jeju region, the volunteer group has visited 45 member cooperatives nationwide as of August, carrying out various on-site support activities such as practical training. By the end of this year, the group plans to visit at least 25 additional cooperatives, providing tailored on-site training to approximately 70 member cooperatives in total.
Kim Moonsoo, Head of the Fisheries and Ocean Support Division at Sh Suhyup Bank, stated, "The Policy Fund Support Volunteer Group is part of a mutual growth cooperation program designed to help staff in charge of fisheries policy fund operations at Suhyup member cooperatives nationwide strengthen their practical skills and enhance their expertise." He added, "We will continue to provide ongoing support to ensure that policy funds are delivered smoothly to fisheries and fishing industry workers, while also systematically establishing post-management processes to prevent insolvency."
