Jeonju City to Recruit 120 Participants for Public Work Program

Jeonju City in North Jeolla Province announced on August 29 that it will recruit 120 participants for the fourth phase of the 2025 Public Work Program from September 1 to 5.


Eligible applicants are Jeonju citizens aged 18 or older but under 65 (for youth jobs, ages 18 to 39) who are capable of working, with a household income at or below 70% of the median income standard and household assets not exceeding 300 million won.

The city plans to select participants by comprehensively considering factors such as age, household assets, income, previous participation in the program, and duration of unemployment.


However, individuals who are receiving unemployment benefits, households with two or more applicants from the same family, those who have participated in three consecutive phases including the previous one, and family members (spouse and children) of public officials are excluded from selection.


The program period will run from October 13 to December 12, and participants will be assigned to 63 projects across 41 departments, including the operation of rest areas for mobile workers, maintenance of the Hanok Village, and library operations.


Depending on the type of project, participants in the youth job program will work 7 hours a day, 35 hours a week, while those under 65 in other projects will work 5 hours a day, 25 hours a week. Wages will be paid at an hourly rate of 10,030 won, with an additional 5,000 won for snacks, as well as paid weekly and monthly leave and holiday allowances.


Interested individuals can fill out an application form available at each neighborhood community center or download it from the Jeonju City website, and submit it along with the required documents at the community center corresponding to their address.
