'2025 Integrity Week Integrity Festival' to Be Held September 1-5
Pledging to Establish a Culture of Integrity and Mutual Respect
On August 29, Gwangju City announced that it will hold the '2025 Integrity Week Integrity Festival' from September 1 to 5 in order to promote the spread of an integrity culture and foster an organizational culture of mutual respect.
This year's Integrity Festival will begin with the 'Jeans (Integrity Is Right Now) Campaign,' in which all employees come to work wearing jeans as a symbol of equality. The existing Jeans Day has been expanded into the Integrity Festival, featuring a variety of programs.
The main programs include: ▲ an anonymous reporting simulation training to strengthen integrity among public officials ▲ education to prevent abuse of power and special lectures on integrity ▲ cultural performances and Integrity Live ▲ integrity campaigns and experiential events with employee participation ▲ and 'Integrity Day,' an event where all employees share their pledges for integrity.
In particular, on the morning of September 1, the first day of Integrity Week, Vice Mayor for Administrative Affairs Ko Gwangwan will greet employees on their way to work and distribute integrity-themed souvenirs, promoting the creation of an integrity-focused Gwangju.
Vice Mayor Ko stated, "Integrity is a fundamental value of the public sector and the starting point for citizens' trust," adding, "Through this Integrity Festival, I hope that a culture of mutual respect and integrity will take root throughout all city administration."
