Supporting Young People to Settle in Ulsan
and Grow as Key Members of the Local Community

Ulsan City is organizing a special event for single working men and women in the region to celebrate Chilseok, the traditional festival of the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.

On August 29, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the city will host "Chilseok, Ulsan Romantic Day, I Love You (I♡U)" at the Tani Bay Hotel and the Whale Sea Tour Ship.

This event aims to provide new opportunities for young people who find it difficult to meet potential partners due to their busy work lives, helping them settle in Ulsan and supporting their growth as active members of the local community.

For this event, Ulsan City recruited single working men and women aged 25 to 39 (born between 1986 and 2000) residing in Ulsan from August 1 to August 17.

As a result, 470 people from a wide range of fields-including large and small companies, public institutions, financial institutions, professional sectors, and the service industry-applied, far exceeding initial expectations and demonstrating high interest in this networking event for working professionals.

Notably, some applicants even changed their official residence to Ulsan in order to participate, drawing attention.

Ulsan City ultimately selected a total of 84 participants, 42 men and 42 women, through a lottery.

"Ulsan Romantic Day" will feature seven programs, running from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the day of the event.

The programs include: ▲Relationship coaching and special lectures ▲Love connection event (Love Matching Event) ▲One-on-one roundtable talks ▲Dinner dates ▲Onboard dates on the Whale Sea Tour Ship ▲Fireworks festival ▲Couple matching.

In particular, a relationship expert will provide on-site coaching to help participants relax, and a variety of mission-based activities will encourage natural communication and interaction.

An official from Ulsan City stated, "We hope to activate social exchange among young people through healthy relationships, and we expect that young people will be able to settle in Ulsan and become strong economic contributors to the local community. Building on this event, we will continue to offer diverse programs to foster a positive perception of marriage and family."

Ulsan City plans to continue focusing on making Ulsan a city where people want to live and stay, through policies and activities that resonate with and are felt by the younger generation.
