During the ceremony, 16 individuals who have contributed to the realization of a gender-equal society will be recognized with awards. Following this, there will be a performance titled "Overcoming Discrimination, Blooming Equality! Gender-Equal City Yongsan," featuring both the district mayor and residents. The special lecture will be delivered by Yoo Inkyung, a broadcaster and author with a background in journalism. Under the theme "The Key to Happy Gender Equality: Talking About Relationships," she will discuss the importance of gender equality through relationships and communication, sharing her insights with the community.

On the day of the event, a variety of side events and hands-on booths will also be available. Eight organizations, including the Yongsan Family Center and the Yongsan Women's Resources Development Center, will participate, offering programs and campaigns such as mobile making, learning about gender equality through sign language, and promoting women's entrepreneurship and employment opportunities. The experience booths will be located on the first basement level of Yongsan Art Hall.

Park Heeyoung, Mayor of Yongsan District, stated, "I hope this commemorative event will provide an opportunity for residents to experience and relate to the value of gender equality together," adding, "We will continue to develop policies and programs that can be felt in everyday life to realize Yongsan as a gender-equal city."

Meanwhile, during the same period, Yongsan District will also promote projects aimed at realizing gender equality and enhancing welfare, such as rest therapy programs for women in their 30s and 40s (including acrylic knife painting classes), special lectures on gender equality, and monitoring activities by a citizen task force against illegal filming.
