On Friday, the 29th, most regions across the country are expected to experience sweltering heat, with daytime temperatures rising up to 35 degrees Celsius. Some areas will also see showers.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 28th, the morning lows on the 29th are forecast to range from 22 to 27 degrees Celsius, while the daytime highs are expected to reach between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius. The perceived temperature will rise to around 33 degrees Celsius in most areas.
The expected daytime highs by region are as follows: Seoul 31 degrees, Incheon 30 degrees, Chuncheon 31 degrees, Gangneung 35 degrees, Daejeon 33 degrees, Daegu 35 degrees, Jeonju 33 degrees, Gwangju 34 degrees, Busan 33 degrees, and Jeju 33 degrees.
The morning lows by region are: Seoul 26 degrees, Incheon 26 degrees, Chuncheon 24 degrees, Gangneung 27 degrees, Daejeon 25 degrees, Daegu 25 degrees, Jeonju 25 degrees, Gwangju 25 degrees, Busan 26 degrees, and Jeju 27 degrees.
Showers are expected in the Seoul metropolitan area and inland and mountainous regions of Gangwon Province. The showers, which will start in northern Gyeonggi Province and northern inland Gangwon in the early morning, are forecast to expand to the Seoul metropolitan area including Seoul, Incheon, and southern Gyeonggi, as well as the Chungnam region, northern Chungbuk, and other inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon during the morning. In the afternoon, showers are also expected on Jeju Island.
The expected precipitation amounts are: Seoul metropolitan area 5-60mm, Gangwon Province 5-60mm, Chungcheong region 5-30mm, and Jeju Island 5-20mm.
