This collaboration is being promoted as part of the RISE Project, aiming to create a humanities and cultural ecosystem jointly developed by the region, university, and residents. It is expected to strengthen the sense of community through a culture salon program in which local residents play a leading role.

The signing ceremony was held on August 27 in the director's office of the Seongbo Museum at Beomeosa Temple, attended by representatives from the RISE Project Group at Pusan National University, the College of Humanities, the Department of Archaeology, and Director Jeong Oh Sanhae of the Seongbo Museum at Beomeosa Temple.

This agreement is linked to the Pusan National University RISE Project’s initiative to establish a citizen-centered milieu (environment) for solving community issues, with the goal of strengthening humanities literacy and the foundation of civic culture.

In particular, the agreement carries strategic significance for research and development related to traditional arts and local history, as well as the establishment of a humanities and cultural ecosystem, centering on the “Symbiosis Project: Building a Humanities and Cultural Ecosystem by Region, University, and Residents.”

Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to gradually implement practical cooperation measures, including the joint planning and operation of the culture salon program, research and development of humanities and cultural projects, sharing of cooperation networks, and the exchange of human and material resources.

Park Sanghoo, Director of the RISE Project Group (Vice President for External Affairs and Strategy) at Pusan National University, stated, “We will actively promote region-friendly projects that allow local residents to share in the historical and cultural values of Busan and co-create new cultural values.” He added, “Through our collaboration with the Seongbo Museum at Beomeosa Temple, we will do our best to establish a cooperative model in which the region, university, and residents communicate and work together.”
