Geochang County Urges Use of 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons' to Boost Local Businesses

Active Participation Requested for Economic Revitalization
Through Rational and Good Consumption Practices

On August 28, Geochang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced that it is making every effort to restore and revitalize the local economy by implementing a variety of policies, including the distribution of livelihood recovery consumption coupons, support for small business owners, and revitalization of traditional markets.


Meanwhile, there have recently been complaints from residents about inconveniences caused by the sale of high-priced goods and excessive promotional activities at certain sites. Concerns have also been raised about the potential undermining of the soundness of local commercial districts and the outflow of funds from the region.

Geochang County Urges Use of 'Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons' to Boost Local Businesses

In response, Geochang County has urged residents to practice rational consumption and to make it a habit to use local businesses in order to prevent harm to residents and protect the local commercial districts.


The county outlined key action items as follows: ▲ Spreading rational and sound consumption habits ▲ Giving priority to using local stores, traditional markets, and small business establishments ▲ Immediately reporting illegal activities such as forced sales of high-priced goods or false and exaggerated advertisements ▲ Promoting the "Good Price, Good Consumption" campaign ▲ Establishing a virtuous economic cycle by revitalizing local commercial districts.


A county official stated, "When all residents practice rational consumption and actively use local businesses, the local economy becomes even stronger," and emphasized, "In particular, if you suspect any illegal business activities, please report them immediately to the Korea Consumer Agency or the Geochang County Economic and Enterprise Division."


Meanwhile, Geochang County plans to continue various promotional and guidance activities to minimize harm to residents and protect the local commercial districts in the future.
