To Be Held at Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul
Three Countries to Participate: Korea, Italy, and Canada
Largest-Ever Multimedia Fireworks Display Planned
Hanwha Corporation announced on August 28 that it will host the "Seoul International Fireworks Festival 2025 with Hanwha" at Yeouido Hangang Park in Seoul on September 27. The Seoul International Fireworks Festival, which Hanwha Group has continued as a major social contribution event since 2000, has established itself as Korea's representative autumn festival, attracting over 1 million visitors every year.
This year's theme, "Light Up Together," embodies the meaning of unity as people move toward lights that illuminate one another. It follows the spirit of last year's theme, "Light Up Your Dream," which encouraged people to pursue their dreams like colorful fireworks.
This year, three countries will participate: Korea, Italy, and Canada. The Italian team, Parente Fireworks Group, will open the festival with a grand display themed "Fiat Lux - Toward the Light in the Darkness" for about 15 minutes starting at 7:20 p.m. Next, the Canadian team, Royal Pyrotechnie, will present a dynamic fireworks show themed "Superhero - The Light That Protects the World" starting at 7:40 p.m.
The finale will be performed by the Korean team, Hanwha Corporation. From 8:00 p.m. for about 30 minutes, they will stage a spectacular fireworks show themed "Golden Hour - Into the Shining Moment," inspired by the concept of time. Notably, for the first time this year, a "decalcomania" format will be introduced, allowing audiences to enjoy performances by both domestic and international teams simultaneously from both directions of Mapo Bridge and Hangang Railway Bridge, centered around Wonhyo Bridge.
Starting at 1:00 p.m. on the day of the event, a variety of promotional booths and events prepared by affiliates and companies will be held throughout Yeouido Hangang Park. Official seat tickets can be applied for through the Lifeplus Tribe App until September 16, and the winners will be announced the following day.
Hanwha Corporation also plans to ensure thorough safety management. Over 3,500 personnel, including a volunteer corps of 1,200 employees, will be deployed on site. The company will use zone-by-zone CCTV monitoring, a congestion analysis system utilizing telecom data, and the smart app "Orange Safety" to help disperse crowds in real time. In addition, a joint situation room will be established with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the Fire & Disaster Headquarters, and Yeongdeungpo District Office to respond to emergencies.
For citizens unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed live online via the official YouTube channel "HanwhaTV," and a real-time music streaming service will be available near the venue through the "Orange Play" app.
