First 300 Teams Accepted on a First-Come, First-Served Basis
Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province will host the KBS National Singing Contest Yangsan edition on September 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Plaza of Woongsang Central Park (next to Woongsang Library).
The KBS National Singing Contest is a nationally beloved program that brings together all generations and social groups, and it is expected to become a venue for unity and enjoyment for all citizens.
In particular, with the upcoming "2026 Year of Visiting Yangsan," the nationwide broadcast is expected to widely promote the charms of Yangsan City and make a significant contribution to revitalizing local culture and tourism.
The preliminary round will be held on September 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Woongsang Culture and Sports Center performance hall, and those who pass the preliminary will advance to the finals on the 16th. The final stage will feature guest singers including Park Sangcheol, Yang Jieun, Shin Seungtae, Bae Jina, and Moon Chohee, who will perform together with the citizens.
Applications for participation will be accepted from September 1 to 5, with the first 300 teams accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications can be submitted online via Naver Form, and citizens who have difficulty using digital devices can apply in person at their local administrative welfare centers.
Eligibility is limited to Yangsan citizens and those affiliated with businesses, schools, or workplaces located in Yangsan City. Professional singers and those with experience in commercial music activities such as album releases or television appearances are not eligible to apply.
A Yangsan City official stated, "The National Singing Contest is an open stage where anyone, regardless of age or gender, can participate and enjoy together. We hope many citizens will showcase their talents and passion, and that this event will become a valuable opportunity to promote the charms of Yangsan City nationwide."
