Eastar Jet announced on August 28 that it will begin operating flights to Yantai, China, starting from September 19.
The Incheon-Yantai route will operate daily, seven times a week. The outbound flight departs from Incheon International Airport at 7:00 a.m. and arrives at Yantai Penglai International Airport at 7:30 a.m. local time. The return flight departs from Yantai at 8:30 a.m. and arrives at Incheon International Airport at around 11:00 a.m.
Yantai, also well known for Yantai Kaoliang Liquor, is a coastal city located in the northern part of the Shandong Peninsula in China. It is an economic hub with industrial complexes established by major Chinese and Korean companies. The city offers a variety of landmarks such as Penglai Pavilion, beautiful natural scenery, and is home to prestigious golf courses, making it an attractive travel destination. Its accessibility is excellent, with flights from Incheon taking less than 90 minutes.
To commemorate the launch of the Incheon-Yantai route, Eastar Jet is offering a special promotion on its China routes through its website and mobile application starting today. The lowest one-way fares (including airport tax and fuel surcharge) are as follows: Yantai 55,600 won, Shanghai 69,400 won, and Zhengzhou 74,400 won. An Eastar Jet representative stated, "The China Yantai route is expected to have stable business demand," adding, "With visa-free entry for Chinese group tourists set to be allowed from the end of next month, we also anticipate an increase in tourism demand."
