On August 27, Musinsa announced that it will join forces with Anta Sports, the largest global sportswear company in China, to make a full-scale entry into the Chinese market.

Musinsa will hold a 60% stake in the joint venture, making it the largest shareholder, while Anta Sports will own the remaining 40%. Musinsa China will lead both online and offline operations of Musinsa Standard and Musinsa Store in the Chinese market. Anta Sports will also play a strategic and financial management role through the board of the joint venture.

This partnership was formed as the needs of Musinsa and Anta Sports to expand their influence in the Chinese market aligned. As the largest fashion platform in Korea with around 10,000 partner brands, Musinsa plans to actively support promising Korean designer fashion brands in entering the Chinese market.

Anta Sports is the largest local sportswear group in China, successfully implementing a "multi-brand" strategy. Leveraging its expertise built through a diverse portfolio of sportswear, athleisure, and lifestyle brands, the company has the strength to cover both premium and mass markets. Through this investment, Anta Sports expects to further capitalize on the convergence of sportswear and fashion, while meeting the segmented and rapidly changing demands of young consumers.

Wu Yonghua, CEO of Anta Sports, stated, "Based on Anta Sports' capabilities in brand and retail integration and value chain expertise across the entire sportswear industry, we will fully support the successful launch of Musinsa Store and Musinsa Standard in the Chinese market and provide differentiated products for the style-conscious younger generation."

Park Junmo, CEO of Musinsa, said, "Through this collaboration, we expect that Musinsa's experience in the fashion industry combined with Anta Sports' strong brand management capabilities will offer Chinese consumers a variety of distribution channels and brand experiences," adding, "We aim to capture the attention of young consumers in the vibrant Chinese market."
