Donga University and Meshlink Join Forces for Semiconductor XR Education

Introduction of "Faraday XR"
Accelerating the Development of Industry-Ready Talent

Donga University is accelerating the cultivation of semiconductor specialists by introducing an XR (Extended Reality)-based semiconductor platform into its curriculum.

Donga University (President Lee Haewoo) has signed a business agreement with Meshlink, a semiconductor XR platform development company, to introduce Meshlink's proprietary "Faraday XR" platform into both the Department of Semiconductor Engineering and extracurricular programs.

The signing ceremony was held on the 22nd at the president's office on the Seunghak Campus. Attendees included President Lee Haewoo, Meshlink CEO Ha Jinsu, Vice President Kim Sungjae (Director of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation), Deputy Director Choi Jaeyoung, and Professor Kim Daekyung.

"Faraday XR" is a platform that implements semiconductor manufacturing processes in a virtual environment, allowing students to safely and immersively practice. Meshlink has applied the world's first responsive XR technology to this platform, enabling learners to directly manipulate process variables and receive training that closely mirrors real industrial standards.

Through this agreement, Donga University will be able to provide XR-based practical training not only to students in the Department of Semiconductor Engineering but also to participants in extracurricular programs. It is also expected to contribute to building infrastructure in the semiconductor and energy technology sectors of the "Glocal University 30" project.

President Lee Haewoo stated, "This will be an opportunity to go beyond theory-based education and incorporate XR-based practical training," adding, "We will focus on nurturing talent equipped with competencies that can be immediately applied in the field."

CEO Ha Jinsu emphasized, "Faraday XR is a platform that goes beyond simple simulation by reflecting actual industrial data," and added, "We hope Donga University students will gain learning experiences closely connected to the industrial field."

With this agreement, Donga University plans to strengthen its competitiveness in semiconductor education and further expand specialized education and research collaborations that incorporate XR technology.
