Participants shared their experiences regarding the challenges of handling complex civil affairs, the emotional labor burden caused by conflicts with residents, and requests for institutional improvements to enhance work efficiency, building a sense of empathy and understanding.
In particular, they discussed the need for psychological counseling programs to alleviate negative emotions arising during civil service interactions, and emphasized the necessity of establishing institutional measures to ensure a safe working environment, seeking practical solutions together.
The county plans to hold quarterly meetings to support the emotional well-being of civil service officials and help them manage job-related stress.
In addition, the county will continue to gather feedback from the field and promote psychological counseling and healing programs, as well as strengthen manuals for responding to crisis situations such as verbal abuse or physical assault by residents, in order to boost staff morale and improve organizational culture.
County Governor Kim Cheolwoo stated, "I fully understand the various difficulties faced in the field of civil service, and I will continue to listen to the voices of those in charge. As you play a key role in building trust in county administration closest to the residents, I hope you will take pride in your work and do your best to provide excellent administrative services."
