Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced on the 27th that it successfully concluded the "54th Face-to-Face Health Lecture That Protects Me" at the Guri City Health Center on the 25th, marking the week for the prevention and management of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

This special lecture was organized to address the challenges of an aging society and to strengthen local residents' awareness, management, and prevention capabilities regarding dementia. The lecture, titled "If Dementia Is Suspected, What Examinations and Treatments Are Available at the Hospital?", was delivered by Professor Kwon Hyuksung from the Department of Neurology at Hanyang University Guri Hospital.

Approximately 40 residents participated in the session, where they received clear and detailed guidance on practical examinations, medication treatments, and preventive management methods for cases where dementia is suspected. The session was met with a very positive response from attendees.

One resident who attended the lecture shared, "As I get older, I have noticed my cognitive function declining and have felt a vague fear of dementia. Through today's lecture, I learned practical steps to take if I suspect dementia, which was very helpful. I hope the health center will continue to offer such opportunities frequently."

Baek Kyunghyun, Mayor of Guri City, stated, "This health lecture provided a valuable opportunity for residents to directly ask questions and learn from experts about their health concerns. We will continue to actively support residents' health by offering a variety of programs in the future."

The video of the special lecture will be posted on the "Guri Vision" YouTube channel on September 5. Until September 18, among citizens who leave questions in the comments after watching the lecture, three individuals with the best questions will receive direct answers from a medical specialist.

Additionally, an event will be held in which 17 people will be randomly selected, and a total of 20 people will receive mobile coupons.
