The eighteenth house concert, held together with local residents, took place at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th at Prima Art Hall in Cheomdan 2nd District, Bukgu, Gwangju, with around 100 audience members in attendance.

This concert, featuring trumpeter Changhoon Oh, pianist Jiyeon Jung, and violinist Junseong Lee, captivated the eyes and ears of the audience weary from the summer heat with an ensemble of trumpet and piano melodies at the tail end of midsummer.

Changhoon Oh, a member of the Jolly Brass Quintet as well as the Wind Ensemble Brassing and Gwangju Brass Choir, received enthusiastic applause from the audience for his performance of "Oblivion," a 1982 piece by Astor Piazzolla, known as an innovator of Argentine tango. He further heightened the atmosphere with Manuel Maria Ponce's "Estrellita," Erroll Garner's "Misty," the widely known "My Way" by Frank Sinatra, and "At the End of Summer" by Dongryul Kim, which perfectly suited the season.

For the curtain call, Changhoon Oh and violinist Junseong Lee, the concert host, performed Sumi Jo's "The Day the Wind Stays," providing a refreshing finale to the midsummer night concert.

The house concert, held at 7:30 p.m. on the last Tuesday of every month, has been organized for three years by Chairman Haemyung Kim of MSL Co., Ltd., who personally funds the event to provide a musical experience for residents deprived of cultural performances. The September concert is scheduled for the 30th.
