This visit was organized to congratulate Newn AI on its KOSDAQ listing and to explore ways to cooperate in building the local industrial ecosystem.
On this day, Mayor Lee Donghwan, Bae Sunghwan, CEO of Newn AI, Park Jungho, Head of the Research Institute, as well as the President of the Goyang Industry Promotion Agency and the Director of the Goyang City Self-Sufficient City Realization Bureau, toured the Newn AI headquarters and exchanged in-depth opinions on the company's growth status and vision, as well as the direction of municipal support for businesses.
Mayor Lee emphasized that Goyang City's future economic policies are closely aligned with the company's growth vision, and expressed his commitment to cooperating for the creation of a sustainable local industrial ecosystem.
CEO Bae Sunghwan welcomed the city's interest in and commitment to fostering local industries, and shared his views on ways to utilize AI technology in the public sector, the role of local governments in supporting corporate growth, and strategies to help local companies expand globally.
Mayor Lee stated, "Newn AI's KOSDAQ listing is an example that shows Goyang City is transforming from a mere bedroom community into a city centered on innovative industries," adding, "We will focus on making Goyang City self-sufficient by promoting the designation of an economic free zone, developing Ilsan Technovalley, and laying the foundation for attracting companies and creating jobs."
Meanwhile, Newn AI is a generative AI-based big data analytics company with 22 technology patents. It successfully went public on KOSDAQ in July this year, earning recognition for its technological capabilities and growth potential.
