Psy, Billlie, ITZY, Boyz II Men, and More Join the Lineup
Reinterpreting Hit Songs Like "Wannabe" and "Waterfalls"
The global music competition series "KPOPPED," co-produced by CJ ENM and U.S.-based Eureka Productions, will be released simultaneously worldwide on Apple TV+ on August 29.
"KPOPPED" is a program where K-pop artists and international pop stars form teams to reinterpret each other's hit songs. The series consists of eight episodes, with teams completing their performances through practice and rehearsals within a limited time. The concerts, held in Seoul, determine the winning team through live audience voting, and each episode's finale features a performance by a K-pop group.
The lineup includes Psy and three-time Grammy Award winner Megan Thee Stallion, as well as K-pop groups Billie, ITZY, Kep1er, JO1, ATEEZ, STAYC, Kiss of Life, and Blackswan.
From the international side, the show features R&B and soul legend Patti LaBelle; Spice Girls members Melanie B and Emma Bunton, who sparked a global phenomenon with "Wannabe"; Vanilla Ice, known for "Ice Ice Baby"; Kesha, who rose to fame with "Tik Tok"; female hip-hop artist Eve; Latin pop star J Balvin; Kylie Minogue, famous for "Can't Get You Out of My Head"; TLC, known for "Waterfalls"; Boy George, a symbol of 1980s new wave pop; British vocalist Jess Glynne; Ava Max, known for "Sweet but Psycho"; and R&B vocal group Boyz II Men.
They will reinterpret and perform hit songs such as "Savage," "Wannabe," "Ice Ice Baby," "Lady Marmalade," "Can't Get You Out of My Head," "Motown Philly," and "Waterfalls."
The show will be hosted by actress and comedian Suzy Son, known for her roles in the Apple TV+ series "Servant" and the sitcom "Search Party." The production team includes executive producers Lionel Richie, CJ Vice Chairwoman Miky Lee, Greg Foster, and Moira Ross, with CJ ENM's Head of Music Content Shin Hyungkwan and Head of Strategic Planning Hong Junki also participating in the production.
"KPOPPED" will be available in its entirety on Apple TV+ on August 29 (Korean Standard Time), and can also be viewed through the "Apple TV+ Brand Hall" on TVING.
