Assembling Fans and Gifting Samgyetang... Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service Supports Summer for Vulnerable Groups in Ulsan

Social Service Group Visits Elderly Residents
Providing Direct Support and Care

The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service (President Park Jonggil) has donated gifts to help vulnerable neighbors cope with the summer heat.

On August 26, the organization announced that, through the Ulsan Metropolitan City Council on Social Welfare, it delivered summer supplies such as fans and Samgyetang to 32 households in Ulsan who are living in vulnerable housing conditions.

The Social Service Group of the organization participated in this sharing activity, personally visiting the homes of elderly people who have difficulty handling machinery to assemble and install fans for them.

This donation was carried out as a joint project of the "Council for the Protection of Rights and Interests of Vulnerable Groups," which was launched by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission on July 4. The council is a public-private partnership involving 28 organizations and groups, including the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, aiming to address gaps in the protection of rights and interests for vulnerable groups.

The organization explained that it actively participated in the donation to protect the lives, safety, and basic living rights of people living in vulnerable housing conditions, whose difficulties have been exacerbated by record-breaking heatwaves.

Park Jonggil, President of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, emphasized, "Although it is a small gesture, I hope it helps vulnerable groups in Ulsan get through the summer. We will continue to pay attention to and support the protection of rights and interests for vulnerable groups so that no one in the country is left behind."
