Yangpyeong County (Governor Jeon Jinseon) visited two families on the 25th to personally congratulate and encourage them on the birth of their children. One family recently welcomed their fifth child (born in 2025), and the other their ninth child (born in 2022). The visit aimed to convey the community's warm support and encouragement for families with multiple children.

Governor Jeon Jinseon was accompanied by officials from the Yangpyeong County Entrepreneurs Association (Chairman Kim Kwangil), who delivered congratulatory gifts and shared the warmth of the local community with the families.
Since 2020, Yangpyeong County and the Yangpyeong County Entrepreneurs Association have signed a support agreement for families with multiple children. Every year, they provide congratulatory gifts to families who have a third child or more.
Both the family that recently had their fifth child (residing in Yangpyeong-eup) and the family that welcomed their ninth child in 2022 (also residing in Yangpyeong-eup) are raising healthy families based on a strong sense of responsibility for child-rearing and deep love for their families. This has drawn significant interest and support from both the county and the local community.
Governor Jeon Jinseon stated, "Children are the future of Yangpyeong and the hope of us all. I sincerely thank the parents who are doing their utmost in raising their children. Yangpyeong County will continue to provide attentive support so that families with multiple children can live happily and stably."
Kim Kwangil, Chairman of the Yangpyeong County Entrepreneurs Association, commented, "Despite the sluggish economy, our members have come together to expand our support for families with three or more children this year, building on last year's efforts. I hope this will be of some help to families welcoming new children in Yangpyeong County."
Meanwhile, Yangpyeong County is making active efforts to address the low birth rate by implementing a variety of childbirth and parenting policies. These include providing childbirth incentives (5 million won each for the first and second child, 10 million won for the third, and 20 million won for the fourth and subsequent children), support for transportation costs for pregnant women, a "First Meeting" voucher, postpartum care support, maternal and newborn health management, and preferential programs for families with multiple children.
