Gyeongnam Information University held the "2025-2 Semester Opening Ceremony and Faculty & Staff Training" on August 22 at the on-campus Global Convention Hall, with all faculty and staff in attendance.
The event began with a welcome speech by Park Dongsun, Chairman of Dongseo Academy, followed by policy presentations from President Kim Taesang and the heads of each administrative department. The policies presented aimed to successfully establish Gyeongnam Information University as "a university for all, a regionally specialized university, and a startup-centered university," ultimately positioning it as the leading community college representing Busan.
In his remarks, Chairman Park Dongsun emphasized, "Gyeongnam Information University must strengthen its entrepreneurial spirit, expand startup education, develop lifelong learning programs and curricula tailored to the needs of local businesses, and provide education to help international students settle in the region. The university must drive bold changes and demonstrate strong execution to lead the local community."
President Kim Taesang stated, "We will do our utmost, together with all faculty and staff, to fulfill our promise to repay the love we have received from Busan citizens over the past 60 years by building a remarkable university and an outstanding community college."
