Sejong University to Host 'IEEE MetaCom 2025' as South Korea’s Premier Academic Event
Global Experts Gather to Explore the Future of the Metaverse, AI, and IoT
Sejong University will exclusively host the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) flagship metaverse conference, 'IEEE MetaCom 2025', at its Seoul campus from August 27 to August 29, 2025.
This conference serves as a platform to share the latest research achievements in advanced technology fields such as the metaverse, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain, while also exploring future visions.
'IEEE MetaCom' is a global academic event held annually that covers the latest trends in metaverse computing, networking, and applied technologies. The third edition of the event is drawing attention as a leading academic conference representing South Korea.
Notably, this year’s 'IEEE MetaCom 2025' will transform the Sejong University campus into a meta-campus and, for the first time, introduce the 'Student Challenge Program', which invites participation from students around the world.
Additionally, the conference will feature a total of six metaverse-related technology tracks, including metaverse computing, metaverse AI technologies, blockchain and Web 3.0, and metaverse security, to share the latest global research outcomes and facilitate in-depth discussions.
Furthermore, the event gains added significance through the sponsorship of the IoT Innovation Convergence University, which promotes university alliances and global talent development in IoT technologies. Sejong University is participating as the lead institution for the IoT Innovation Convergence University.
