Nighttime Operation Expands Participation
at Baegogae Riverside Parking Lot, September 2-4
The Yeongju City Public Health Center in North Gyeongsang Province will host the 16th Citizen Health Experience Event for three days from September 2 to 4 at the Baegogae riverside parking lot.
This event is designed to improve citizens' health and promote a culture of healthy living. It will be held in the evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day, allowing anyone to participate easily.
Now in its 16th year, the event will feature more than 30 participating organizations and groups annually, offering a variety of programs such as medical consultations, health checkups, healthy lifestyle practices, daily health, health culture (including cultural performances and competitions for the best in plank and pedometer dance), and nighttime health walks.
Participating organizations include the Yeongju Medical Association, Korean Medicine Association, Dental Association, Pharmaceutical Association, Optometric Association, the Yeongju-Bonghwa branch of the National Health Insurance Service, the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Center of Dongguk University Gyeongju Hospital, as well as local universities and hospitals. Citizens will have the opportunity to experience a wide range of health-related activities that are not easily accessible in daily life, all in one place.
On September 3 at 8:00 p.m., a nighttime health walk will be held with the Yeongju Walking Association Gymnastics Team. Starting from the Seocheon riverside event venue and proceeding to the turnaround point at the Second Gaheung Bridge and back, this program aims to highlight the importance of walking and encourage citizens to incorporate it into their daily routines.
Kim Moonsoo, Director of the Yeongju City Public Health Center, said, "We have prepared a variety of enjoyable health experiences for citizens," adding, "I hope everyone will take care of their health while walking along the beautiful Seocheon and gain vitality at the experience event."
